Sandra Douglass Morgan

Sandra Douglass Morgan is the Vice Chair of the Host Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of Allegiant Travel Company (NYSE:ALGT), Caesars Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:CZR), and Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE:FNF).
Morgan is Of Counsel with Covington & Burling LLP, one of the world’s leading law firms, with a long standing reputation for representing significant clients in complex legal matters and serving the public interest, according to the very highest professional standards. She is the immediate-past Chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. As the chief regulator for Nevada’s dominant billion-dollar gaming industry, she led the passage and implementation of cashless wagering regulations and ensured that gaming licensees adopted policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment. Morgan was the first person of color and second woman to serve as Chair in the state’s history.
Morgan previously served on the Nevada Gaming Commission. While serving as a Commissioner, she was also the Director of External Affairs for AT&T Services, Inc. and was responsible for managing AT&T’s government and community affairs in Nevada. Morgan also served as the City Attorney for the City of North Las Vegas and was the first African-American City Attorney in the state of Nevada. Prior to her public service with the City, she served as Litigation Attorney for MGM MIRAGE now known as MGM Resorts, International.
Her awards and honors include the UNLV Boyd School of Law’s Distinguished Service Alumni Award, the Corporate to Community Connector award from the National Urban League Young Professionals, the “Women in Business and Politics” award from the Urban Chamber of Commerce, the Ladies of Distinction Award from Olive Crest, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting abused and neglected children, the National Bar Association’s Nation’s Best Advocates “40 under 40” award, and the Attorney of the Year award by the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association.
Morgan is a member of the State Bar of Nevada. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno and was awarded a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
